In patients with a history of coronary bypass surgery, 6-month supplementation with L-arginine (6.4 g/d, n = 32, age 65 10) reduces ADMA levels, increases plasma cGMP, and improves reactive hyperemia compared to placebo (n = 32, age 64 11) (Lucotti et al., 2009)
