Thomas Frederick Luppino (1749 1845) was a scene painter at Covent Garden and Drury Lane, and kept a sketchbook of the area around Hertford where he lived. His grandson, Thomas William Luppino (1790 1859) was an accomplished organist, music teacher and impresario of controversial music evenings. The sketchbook is published here for the first time.
