Abalone or "Haliotis Iris" are known for their iridescent and pearlescent features. The shell has natural forming baroque pearls. The hand carved base originally came from a historical church in Italy. The gilded fragment is adorned and encrusted with baroque pearls and iridescent, pearlescent pieces.
