Sima runner all over angular floral designA 1920s village rug from the Sarab area in northwest Persia. Herati patterns on the dark blue ground are surrounded by borders with hooked motifs. The colours include green, grey green, pink, blue, red and a very pale yellow. One end retains the flat weave in a band of pink and a band of natural off white.
